Well, it is 12:43am and I am done with my little two shirt order. I did a dozen practice prints before I felt confident enough to do it on a real shirt. It was lining up great but....! You know when your car makes noise and when you take it to the mechanic, the noise suddenly stops? That is kind of how my print went. :) It was good for the last four test prints but when I went to print on a good shirt, it went out of alignment. #@*%**#@!!! I ruined the first shirt. I did a couple more test prints and then tried it again. YIPPEE....I have success. It went out of alignment for the second shirt, so I ruined that one too. The third and fourth shirt turned out OK but not as good as the first one.
I did not realize it was so difficult to keep the image lined up. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Hmm...I will have to think about it. I use the Epson 1400 w/RIP software. I think there is a place in the print function where I can over-print the black and set how much I want to over-print it. Lots of investigation to do. I certainly can not do it like this forever. I will end up in the nut house.
I have only done one other multi-color print job where the outline covered the other colors. It was just a two-color job so I didn't have four screens to register. But that one was also a little difficult to line up. Time to check out some YouTube videos on registering multi-color jobs. If you want to know anything about anything, check out YouTube!! I have one more design to print for this order and I am not looking forward to doing it. :( Practice makes perfect I guess.
Practice, practice, practice!!
