Yikes!

7:43pm

I just finished coating my screens with dual cure diazo emulsion. They are in my drying rack and should be reading to burn in a couple hours. I am having a VERY difficult time trying to print my transparencies. I know there is a way to do color separations in CorelDraw but it is not working for me.

If you are new to screen printing then you are probably asking yourself,  "What the heck is color separations?" Lets say you have an image with 3 colors....blue, pink and green. Each color needs to have its own screen when you print. One screen for blue ink, one screen for pink ink and one screen for green ink. Don't confuse the ink colors with the color of your transparencies. Your transparencies need to be ALL printed in BLACK ink. Whatever color of ink you want to put through the screen is up to you but all transparencies need to be black. So color separations means separating each color of your image onto its own page so you can print it out onto a transparency.

That sounds pretty easy from my explanation but I am having a rough time. I will keep at it and hopefully in the next post I will be celebrating my triumph. :)
