This is going to be a very exciting week for me. I have new screen-printing equipment and supplies arriving almost every day this week. It is all from Ryonet. I have two packages coming today. I think my new 4-color, 1-station press is in one package but I am not sure what is in the other one. It could be my new ink colors.
I cannot even tell you how exciting it will be to see new ink colors. I have only printed five shirts and they have all been black ink. Now I will be able to print in scarlet, blue, orange, red, green, yellow and pink. WOW! How exciting is that? I have a few designs ready to print and they look very good in just black ink but I think adding some color will add some pizzazz.
My flash dryer will arrive later this week. Once that arrives, I will have enough equipment to take things to a completely new level. I cannot wait to get it all set up. I have been using a heat gun to cure the shirts. My personal opinion on the heat gun…YUCK!! I just do not have the patience to stand there for 5 minutes drying one shirt especially when a flash dryer can do it in 45 seconds. A heat gun will absolutely work if you do not have another option. However, time is money and the less time you spend drying the shirts, the more shirts you can actually print. More shirts equal more money. I think that is a good thing. :)
