The design is ready for my custom order. I actually created it in less then an hour. That is not bad for my first job. Now comes the hard part. This particular design has two screens so it is difficult lining up the image. The registration marks the printer offers, do not print out very dark. I made my own marks for my last designs but they were one-color images, so the crop marks printed fine. When I print multi-color images, the crop marks show up on the black page only. I need them to show up on all pages. I like my registration marks better so I need to figure out how to keep them on all pages.
I still have not figured out how to do a stroke or overprint colors, which would help in lining up my image. I printed the transparencies once and now have to start over. I went back and created a "copy" of the text, added an outline the same color of the text and placed that behind the original text. Then I added my black outline to the front text. I am hoping this will help in lining up the image as well as close the gap in colors. It is a pain in the butt having to start over all the time. It will be nice when I have more then three screens.
I am going to try a natural blend on the text. I just need to figure out what three colors will look good on a pink, blue, yellow, white and black tank top. I hope they turn out this time because I need to get them printed by Thursday. I have a full-time job, so that does not leave a whole lot of time to work on my screen-printing. Nevertheless, I do what I can when I have the time.
I need to put emulsion on my screens now. I will update later.
