I wanted to do a post and show my new screen drying rack I built. I am a happy camper! :) I no longer have to worry about shifting the screens around and poking holes in them. Now they are safely tucked away. It is important to have the right tools for the job and to have your shop neatly organized.
I love building things so I had lots of fun doing this project and the price was right. The total cost of the rack was under $25 and I still have wood left over. I need to order more screens so I will have to build another rack. Yippie!

RACK DIMENSIONS
2 sides - 30 3/8" tall x 25" deep (used 3/4" MDF)
1 back - 30 3/8" tall x 21 3/4" wide (used 1/2" MDF)
Top & Bottom 25 1/2" Long x 21 3/4" wide (used 1/2" MDF)
Braces - 22 strips, 25" long x 3/4" wide, spaced 1 3/4" apart (used 3/4" MDF)
This rack will hold 11 wood or aluminum screens.
I screwed it together so it would be easy to take apart if needed. I have it on wheels so it is very easy to move around.
You can always buy a screen rack if you are not up to building your own. :) I enjoyed building my own rack but I would have no problem buying a new one if the funds were available.
